One of the great things about having a humanist wedding is you get to choose a celebrant. This allows you to choose someone who you think gets your vibe, is going to represent you in an authentic way, and will be genuinely over the moon to be a part of your day.
I spend time getting to know my couples and what they want their wedding to be like. I’ll talk to you about all the beautiful elements you might to include and how you want your day to feel. I’ll then ensure your ceremony perfectly captures you and is packed full of juicy love, laughter, and joy! When your ceremony comes by, you’ll have someone stood up there with you who knows you, that you trust and who is fully invested in you both.
When I’m not being a humanist celebrant I work as an advocate for women affected by domestic abuse. This means you know I’m bringing spades of empathy, kindness and patience to the planning, creation, and then ceremony itself. Working in domestic abuse is a stark contrast to meeting all you beautiful, loved up, couples. Because of this it means my celebrant work brings me unbelievable amounts of joy and I see it for the absolute privilege and treat that it is.
As a humanist celebrant, I am accredited by Humanists UK. This includes a rigorous application, interview and training process. Part of being a Humanist celebrant is ensuring continual professional development and celebrants are regularly observed to ensure the highest standards.
